  11. What is the Ulead Browser?

  14. Ulead Browser is a program from Ulead Systems, Inc. 
  15. that allows you to quickly browse the contents of 
  16. your issue of clipart. You can scroll through 
  17. thumbnails for a quick visual view of the images 
  18. on the CD or search for images by keyword, subject, 
  19. or marks. Once found, image files can be previewed.

  25. OPENING THE BROWSER
  26. -In the Windows File Manager, click once on the 
  27. CD ROM icon.
  28. -Double click on PC_USERS directory.
  29. -Double click on BROWSER directory.
  30. -Click once on BROWSER2 directory.
  31. -Double click on BROWSER.EXE file.
  32. -The Ulead Browser window will open. Double click 
  33. the icon in the lower left corner of the Browser 
  34. window to open the album and view all the images.

  36. SEARCHING FOR IMAGES
  37. When a search is performed, only the thumbnails 
  38. in the current view are searched. If you want to 
  39. search the entire album consecutively, select 
  40. Search Entire Album from the Thumbnail menu or 
  41. typing Ctrl+W.

  43. To perform a quick keyword search, choose Keyword 
  44. from the first pull-down menu at the top of the 
  45. screen; then choose a keyword from the second 
  46. pull-down menu.

  48. To perform a search with more complex search 
  49. criteria (for example, to combine two keywords using 
  50. Boolean operators such as "and" or "or"), use the 
  51. Search dialog box, accessed by choosing Search from 
  52. the Thumbnails menu or typing Ctrl+S.

  54. In the Search dialog box, choose your search criteria 
  55. category from the pull-down menu and type your search 
  56. words in the box to the right. To add more criteria 
  57. separated by "and," "or" or "not," click the Add 
  58. button. When finished, click OK to begin the search.

  60. You can save a search for future use by typing a 
  61. name in the Query text area inside the Search dialog 
  62. box, then press Enter. To access a previously saved 
  63. query, choose it from the pull-down Query menu. To 
  64. delete a query, highlight it and click the 
  65. Remove button.

  68. Double-click on a thumbnail to see a larger 
  69. version of it.
